Oh, I have a followup question to my last post: a) what fandoms have you all moved on to in my absence? and b) should I join them? Be specific.

Hey guys, what’s going on? (No, I really want to know what’s going on, I’ve missed all y’all so much, please feel free to reply/send me an ask, I hope you are all well and your lives are going exactly as they should.)

I still do not have my time managed well enough to keep up with Tumblr on a regular basis, and I miss it dearly. I’m hoping things will settle down soon. Here’s what’s been happening to me:

• I graduated from my M.Ed. program in December, am temping 40 hours/week for the same office I was a student worker for and am hoping to get a permanent job there sometime this summer, since no benefits, no paid leave for any reason and the same hourly wage I had when I was a grad student isn’t my favorite.
• I’m also working another 10 or so hours a week in my off hours doing invoicing and whatnot for a real estate development company, which is basically the only thing paying my bills right now
• This means that I have a lot of time to watch TV while I’m messing around with giant spreadsheets and shuffling large folders full of receipts, so I’ve gotten super into The Americans and The Amazing Race, and I’ve been catching up with Elementary and also just started watching Bates Motel. Oh, and I’m almost completely finished with Absolutely Fabulous, although I can’t say I enjoyed it that much.
• I adopted another cat, as I mentioned in my last series of posts a couple of weeks ago. His name was Nesta, but that is a dumb name that kept reminding me of Nestea, so I renamed him Lucius, which is also a dumb name and was not meant to have anything to do with Lucius Malfoy. I don’t really know, I thought of a lot of better names but for whatever reason, Lucius is the one that stuck.

That’s pretty much it. So what have I missed? Is everyone super excited about Mad Men tonight???

Damned good names they were, too.

My last attempt at themed naming ended in gerbil cannibalism, so I’m not crazy about going down that road again.

Good question…I’ve been here, but it’s been hard to find time for internetting lately, somehow. I’m working a lot and then I’ve been doing a second job from home too, in the evenings. I really miss tumblr though. I’m hoping to get my life together enough to come back to it soon.
