I woke up with this Traveling Wilburys cover in my head and I have been feeling the hell out of it all day.

She & Him at the Ryman, 9/1/10
Zooey looked like a bouncy China doll and one of her backup singers was dressed as Loretta Lynn.

I got to see She & Him at the Ryman tonight! For those who don’t know, Zooey and Matt are my OTP. Their set was amazing—I’m a sucker for cover songs, and they did everything from “Roll Over Beethoven” with Matt on lead vocals and shredding guitar to “Wouldn’t it Be Nice” with Zooey on ukulele. I’ve seen Matt live before and knew he would be great, but I was pleasantly surprised that Zooey sounds as good live as she does on the records. And of course, the Ryman was wonderful as always.
